⇸Preparation:
This is a very easy to make dinner, not to mention super quick.
I have been slammed with work, and working on my blog, so cooking a long dinner last night was not on the menu. Everyone has those tiring days, lets be honest here ;)
Hold up a minute! BUT IS IT TASTY?
OHHHH you betcha ;) this was a hit at home.
The name of the noodles is sake, but unfortunately there is no sake in this recipe.
My boyfriend came up with the name, and the play on words. Instead of cooking with sake you will be .... DRINKING IT!
Take a shot of sake, NOW! ;)
Alright, Alright... lets get to the cooking now, we have had too much fun unwinding.
First step is mince the garlic and ginger finely and set it aside.
Second step, place a pan on the stove and add the oil, let it get some heat.
While the pan is getting hot, fill a pan with water and salt and let it boil.
Chop the chicken into cubes, toss them with cayenne pepper and salt. While you are chopping up, slice the broccoli stalk and cut the florets.
At this time, add the garlic mixture to the oil, and let it get a little bit of color. Once the smell is fragrant, add the chicken to the fiyaaaah (fire)!
Once I added the chicken, I also added the chili paste so it can give the chicken a nice color.
Add the noddles to the boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes.
Udon Noodles should cook fast, so keep a tab on them in order for them not to get soggy.
While the chicken gets flavor, add the soy sauce and the broccoli. Close the mixture with a lid and leave it for about 15 minutes. The chicken should be completely cooked!
Drain the noodles and add the honey to them, mix them while they are hot so the honey can melt and get to all of them. Add the noodles to the chicken and the sauce and mix!
Ta-dan!
