Florida Keys

The Florida Keys were recently hit with the Irma Hurricane. That category 4 monster put the keys under water basically. Now, 1 month later, I was wondering if they would be accessible for a day at the beach. To my surprise, the roads were clear and well taken care of, at least in the first keys. As you drive down more south, the situation get a little worst. My interest drove my boyfriend and I to decide to take our dog, Ollie, for a day on the water.

Guys... the first beach we stopped at, John Pennekamp, was very clear but also very small. I get a little claustrophobic so I need my space. Like, solitude and peace!hahaha...
Our puppy also wasn't allowed on these sands, BUT the park does allow dogs inside. If you are just passing by, or bike riding, the park is great! It's a historical site, with cannons and local dive shops for diving or snorkeling. It has has a deep green foliage, showers and grills! This didn't stop us from moving on to the next one.

Our second stop was Anne's Beach!
Anne's Beach is a great hidden gem of a beach! My little secret location :)
It also allows dogs on the water, it has a wood bridge with tables under the shade, every picnic area is secluded from the other ones, and all of them are close by the water. The only thing when considering visiting Anne's beach is to come early! This place is starting to get some popularity and nowadays some families stay a long time.

BUT,
Anne's beach was still closed due to the hurricane 😢
Unfortunately our quest was let down, and we had to settle to walking on the water for a little while instead of spending the whole day as planned.

OH WELL!
I'm just hoping that we will be able to save and help these majestic lands. They are suppose to be under water in the future as well as all of Florida.
There are some beautiful photos below!
The first one is my boyfriend and my dog, walking on Anne's Beach waters. The other two are from the drive down.

I'm praying for the Keys!
